Panel setpoint selection

The 7008 provides a three-digit potentiometer arrangement for an external setpoint. Match its 10 kΩ resistance, tolerance and power rating to the receiving instrument before selecting it for a control panel. The three-digit format identifies the adjustment component; the final relationship between its setting and a process value depends on the connected equipment and its configuration. Check the 21 × 35 mm cut-out and allow space behind the panel for the 42 mm depth and solder-terminal connections. For a replacement, compare the complete part reference, front dimensions and wiring with the existing assembly. Confirm the terminal assignment from the equipment documentation rather than from appearance alone. During commissioning, verify the adjustment range and the response of the connected instrument under the intended operating conditions.
