Using an external setpoint

The 7015 is a single-turn potentiometer for applications requiring a manually adjustable external setpoint. Its 10 kΩ resistance and stated tolerance should be checked against the input requirements of the receiving instrument. The potentiometer is one component of that circuit, so its resistance value does not by itself define the engineering range displayed by a controller. For panel integration, allow for the 10 mm cut-out, the 6 mm shaft and access to the solder terminals. Confirm the required knob and mounting arrangement separately before ordering. When replacing an existing part, compare the full reference, electrical rating, shaft dimensions and terminal arrangement. Use the equipment wiring diagram to identify the connections and verify the resulting adjustment direction and usable range during commissioning.
