GATEWAY

Selecting a Teltonika industrial gateway

TRB145 and TRB245 connect industrial equipment through different interfaces and cellular options. Choose TRB145 when the requirement is RS485 with LTE Cat 1. Choose TRB245 when the application needs RS232, RS485 and Ethernet with LTE Cat 4. Mobile category alone does not determine suitability; begin with the physical interface used by the field device and the network available at the site.

Before installation, verify the communication protocol, serial settings, addressing and endpoint required by the connected equipment and receiving system. A matching connector does not prove universal compatibility or automatic data interpretation. Document the device, gateway interface and data destination. This provides a basis for configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting without treating TRB145 and TRB245 as interchangeable.
