How do you choose the measurement interface when sensors differ and the data needs to reach a PC?
From resistance temperature detectors and thermocouples to two-wire 4…20 mA transmitters.
The PR 4116 from PR electronics offers flexibility in connecting the sensor and can be integrated with ATSEN Optimetria to use the data on a PC:
• A variety of sensors and signals. A configurable input for Pt10/20/50/100/200/250/300/400/500/1000, Ni50/100/120/1000 and Cu10/20/50/100 resistance temperature detectors; B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U, W3, W5 and LR thermocouples; linear resistance, potentiometer, and current or voltage signals. Select the input type suitable for the application.
• Connection and power supply for compatible two-wire 4…20 mA transmitters. PR 4116 provides loop power and signal isolation. The analogue output and the two relays allow transmission of the measurement and configuration of alarm thresholds.
• Useful data on a PC through ATSEN Optimetria: real-time display of measured values, calculations using formulas and calculation plans, history storage and CSV export for Excel. The connection requires the optional PR 4511 module (PR 4511), Modbus RTU communication over RS-485, a compatible PC interface and register configuration. The module also provides a detachable local display for parameter configuration and diagnostics.
What carries more weight in your projects: the diversity of sensors, loop power or data analysis on a PC? What is the technical reason?
