Are you choosing a converter for the PLC's analogue input?
Check three things before ordering.

When replacing a device, matching the signal range is only one criterion. Circuit separation and the available space in the cabinet matter too.

For the PR 3104 isolated converter from PR electronics, the checklist can start here:

• Signal and configuration: it isolates and converts standard direct-current (DC) signals, with configuration via DIP switches.
• Circuit separation: three-port galvanic isolation separates the input, output and power supply to eliminate ground loops.
• Available space: the enclosure is 6.1 mm wide, useful for integration on the DIN rail in a crowded cabinet.

Before selection, compare these criteria with the circuit diagram and the PLC input requirements.

Which check do you always add to your checklist before replacing a converter?
