The sensor sends pulses. What does the automation system need to receive?
For PR 4225, the letter in the code indicates the type of outputs.

The PR 4225 converter family from PR electronics accepts NAMUR, NPN, PNP, TTL and S0 signals, as well as signals from tachogenerators and contacts.

• 4225A — one analogue output and one relay: the measured value to the PLC and indication of a threshold.
• 4225B — two relays: for control actions or alarms based on the measured frequency.
• 4225C — one analogue output or one frequency output, depending on the input of the connected equipment.

Parameter configuration, monitoring and diagnostics can be performed using a detachable front display, available as an accessory.

In your applications, when is a relay alarm sufficient, and when do you also need the analogue value?
